And so, this author wondered what exactly he was signing.<\/p>\n<p>This document was not alluded to in his speech, nor was there any subsequent comment about it by electronic media coverage of the speech.<\/p>\n<p>Today, howvever, we found the following:<\/p>\n<p>1\/ <a href=\"http:\/\/www.seattlepi.com\/news\/politics\/article\/Amid-warnings-Trump-forges-ahead-on-12409310.php\"><strong>http:\/\/www.seattlepi.com\/:<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<blockquote><p>On Wednesday he focused on his directive to the State Department to begin a process of moving the embassy as required by U.S. law, however many years that might take. After his speech, he signed a proclamation to that effect.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>2\/ <a href=\"http:\/\/edition.cnn.com\/2017\/12\/06\/politics\/president-donald-trump-jerusalem\/index.html\"><strong>http:\/\/edition.cnn.com\/<\/strong><\/a> with the headline &#8212; <strong>Watch Trump Sign Historic Jerusalem Document:<\/strong> <\/p>\n<blockquote><p>&#8230;.Senior administration officials have acknowledged it will take years for the US to build the new embassy in Jerusalem.<\/p>\n<p>Trump ordered the State Department Wednesday &#8220;to begin preparations to move the embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem,&#8221; noting his directive would allow the State Department to begin hiring architects and building contractors to build an embassy he said will be &#8220;a magnificent tribute to peace.&#8221;<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>3\/ And finally, the caption shown in <a href=\"http:\/\/www.jpost.com\/Israel-News\/US-asks-Israel-to-restrain-embassy-response-in-State-Department-document-517272\"><strong>The Jerusalem Post,<\/strong><\/a> attributed to Reuters, beneath the above photo of President Trump signing the document:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>US <strong>President Donald Trump displays an executive order<\/strong> after he announced <strong>the U.S. would recognize Jerusalem as the capital of Israel<\/strong>, in the Diplomatic Reception Room of the White House in Washington, US December 6, 2017..
