\nKassam Lands Between Two Kindergartens in Eshkol Region [1 of 4 Hitting South Sunday AM, 4th Cease-fire Violation]<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n

Gaza terrorists breached the cease-fire once again early Sunday morning, firing four Kassam rockets, one of which landed between two kindergartens in the Eshkol region.<\/p>\n

Another two rockets hit open areas nearby and a fourth hit the Sdot Negev region.<\/p>\n

No one was wounded and no damage was reported in the barrage, and the warning siren was sounded before the rockets landed.<\/p>\n

Following the attack, Infrastructures Minister Binyamin Ben-Eliezer called for an immediate IDF response. “We need to respond severely and immediately… Hamas must pay for this,” he told Army Radio, adding that no one should give the excuse that a smaller faction was responsible for the attack.<\/p>\n

MK Gideon Sa’ar (Likud) urged the government to immediately respond to the attack.<\/p>\n

Eight rockets have been fired at southern Israel since both Israel and Hamas declared cease-fires some two weeks ago at the end of Operation Cast Lead.<\/p>\n

There were no reports of casualties or damage in any of the attacks. <\/strong><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

After four rockets fired from Gaza hit the South on Sunday morning, Prime Minister Ehud Olmert told the cabinet that Israel would respond firmly to the attacks.<\/p>\n

“The cabinet’s position from the outset was that if there is rocket fire at southerners, there will be a response that will essentially be disproportionate,” he said.<\/p>\n

“We won’t return to the rules of the game that terror groups have tried to dictate and we won’t be dragged into a never-ending shooting war,” said the prime minister, stressing that Israel would not allow the rocket attacks to continue.<\/p>\n

Olmert said he had instructed Defense Minister Ehud Barak to order the army to prepare a response. “We won’t give the terror groups warning as to when and how we’ll react, but Israel will respond and act at the time and place of its choosing,” he said.<\/strong><\/p><\/blockquote>\n
