Commentary;<\/strong><\/p>\n

Remember the US sale of F-15S fighter-jets to Saudi Arabia in the late 1970s? Look at where the Saudis have deployed them; in the Saudi base of Tabuk, located just over 150 kilometers from Israel’s port city of Eilat.<\/p>\n

The US, it seems, has NEVER once protested that the deployment violates U.S. export terms of 1978.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Yesterday, to quote from IMRA archives;<\/strong><\/p>\n

A spectacular air show with stunning displays by Hawks, F15s, Falcons, Apaches and other fighter aircraft as well as freestyle parachute jumps by professionals delighted the people of Tabuk yesterday in a fitting conclusion to Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah’s landmark visit to the region.<\/p>\n

King Abdullah, who is supreme commander of the armed forces, earlier inspected a parade of different army units at the King Abdul Aziz Military City in Tabuk. He reminded military and security forces of their duty to protect the Kingdom’s unity, security, stability and honor by defeating its enemies.<\/p>\n

“You, the members of the armed forces along with the National Guard and security forces of the Interior Ministry, form a well-fortified shield for the Kingdom after God Almighty,” the king told the armed forces. Crown Prince Sultan, Interior Minister Prince Naif and Chief of Staff Gen. Saleh Al-Muhaya attended the event.<\/strong><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

This event is another in a long chain of instances; the<\/strong> boycott of the US of Jerusalem Day,<\/strong><\/a> the treacherous failure of the US to free<\/strong> Jonathan Pollard<\/strong><\/a> and decades and decades more such betrayals. Can US assurances to Israel have any credibility whatsoever?<\/strong><\/p>\n

Is it for this that Israel opts for<\/strong> “International PR”<\/strong><\/a> which she is sooo mediocre at, rather than military action to eradicate terrorists and terrorist rocket launching sites in Gaza? Does Washington, does the world even for a moment even care where Saudi Jets are deployed regarding Israel? When does Israel become self-reliant?
