She added that the Foreign Ministry approved the invitations.<\/p>\n<p>The ambassadors from the United States and the European Union countries announced on Sunday that they will not attend the celebrations.<\/p>\n<p>According to Army Radio, the envoy from Germany declined the invitation in the name of all EU states due to a dispute over the status of East Jerusalem as part of the Israeli capital.<\/p>\n<p>A short time later, Israel Radio reported on Sunday that American Ambassador Richard Jones will also not attend.<\/p>\n<p>The Foreign Ministry explained it had invited diplomats to attend a ceremony commemorating 40 years since the unification of East and West Jerusalem at the Knesset.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;We regret the EU&#8217;s announcement by which its representatives will not take part in this event, and expect the participation of many other diplomats,&#8221; it added.<\/p>\n<p>All of the embassies in Israel are based in Tel Aviv, and not Jerusalem, due to the disputed status of the capital.<\/strong><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><strong>Commentary;<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>While this is the single most constructive act of Dalia Itzik&#8217;s political career, she has no clue as to the right reasons why her act is sooo positive.<\/p>\n<p>In exemplifying the Left&#8217;s craving for the love of the world, Itzik doesn&#8217;t realize that her act is an assertion of Israel&#8217;s Divine, inalienable right to and possession of Jerusalem and of Eretz Yisrael. Her action also exposes the long-term effort of the nations to<\/strong> <a href=\"https:\/\/sefer-torah.com\/blog\/2007\/05\/13\/us-eu-planned-absence-from-jerusalem-day-part-of-long-term-effort-to-delegitimize-israel\/\"><strong>delegitimize Israel.<\/strong><\/a>   <strong>The sad thing is that brainwashed Israelis, in their futile craving for the world&#8217;s favor, can&#8217;t shake their leftist-ingrained delusions about the US and the nations.
