MB<\/strong><\/p>\n Olmert Meets With Prominent Leftists<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n Full Text;<\/strong><\/p>\n Haaretz newspaper reported Wednesday that Prime Minister Ehud Olmert has met with several prominent extreme-left activists in the past few weeks. Among the meetings was a three-hour private conversation with left-wing author Amos Oz.<\/p>\n Some political analysts have said that Olmert is trying to build a new base of support in advance of the release of the Winograd Commission’s findings, which may implicate him in political failures in the Second Lebanon War. However, many left-wing groups who spoke with Olmert “came out with a good feeling,” according to one activist.
