Defense Minister Amir Peretz told the Knesset Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee Monday that the military situation in the Gaza Strip was escalating. <\/p>\n

“I hope we do don’t reach a situation in which we have to carry out a broad ground operation” in Gaza, Peretz said. <\/p>\n

An IDF intelligence report revealed Sunday that Hamas had received smuggled deliveries of advanced-technology weapons, including anti-tank missiles.<\/strong><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Commentary:<\/p>\n

And this author hopes, should circumstances warrant, that the IDF is still capable of recapturing this part of the Land of Israel, that we then possess it permanently and with all that this entails for the Jews. MB<\/strong><\/p>\n
