Disgraceful how it ignores Pollard! <\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.israelnn.com\/news.php3?id=112562\"><strong>Israeli Spends Rosh Hashanah Eve in a US Jail<\/strong><\/a> <\/p>\n<p><strong>Full Text;<\/strong><\/p>\n<blockquote><p><strong>An Israeli tourist who planned to spend the two-day Rosh Hashanah holiday with friends in the Washington, D.C. area was surprised when Maryland police placed him under arrest for photographing the Fort McHenry Tunnel along Interstate 95.<\/p>\n<p>The interested tourist stopped for a few moments to photograph the tunnel but he apparently attracted the attention of a local resident who phoned police, reporting a man &#8220;looking suspicious &#8212; taking photos of the tunnel.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Maryland police quickly responded and a chase resulted in their successfully catching the tourist&#8217;s vehicle. He was immediately taken into custody.<\/p>\n<p>Reports of the incident reached Foreign Ministry officials in Jerusalem, who learned the man arrived in America about six weeks earlier, did have a legal visa and was carrying a valid passport and international driver&#8217;s license. <\/p>\n<p>After about four hours, diplomatic officials did manage to persuade police that his actions were benign, and he was released from custody.<\/strong> <\/p><\/blockquote>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Received this email from a friend in the US; Subject: [bsaje] Isn&#8217;t it amazing what the Israeli Foreign Ministry can do when it wants to?
