“A Palestinian Authority terrorist was caught by the IDF in Jericho on Wednesday and killed after he opened fire when they attempted to arrest him. Soldiers had surrounded Mahmoud Jaabari’s house in the Ein Sultan camp in Jericho when he began shooting.<\/p>\n

Jaabari, a member of Fatah, participated in the 2002 terrorist operation which killed Israeli cab driver Simcha Ron. IDF forces found an explosive device wrapped in a bag in Jaabari’s house.” <\/strong><\/p>\n

Would-be Bomber Caught in West Bank <\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n

IDF troops on Wednesday caught a Palestinian in the West Bank with an explosives belt strapped around his waist and ready for use. <\/p>\n

The would-be suicide bomber entered the industrial zone in the West Bank town of Barkan, near Ariel. <\/p>\n

The army received intelligence information from the Shin Bet (Israel Security Agency) on Monday about plans to dispatch a suicide bomber from the West Bank town into Israel. Precise intelligence led troops to the Palestinian who was found inside a taxi. <\/p>\n

Sappers detonated the explosives in a controlled explosion and the suspect was detained by the Shin Bet for interrogation.<\/strong><\/p><\/blockquote>\n
