A Hamas minister of the Palestinian Authority (PA) has brought into Gaza $20 million in 12 suitcases<\/em> in an effort to get around the threat of Western nations, which have threatened to place sanctions against those who send money to the Hamas-led government. PA Foreign Minister Mahmoud al-Zahar brought in the American money after completing a fund-raising trip.<\/p>\n

Another $4 milling was brought in Thursday morning by Yusef al-Rizka. <\/em>Information minister for the PA. He said the money will go to the finance ministry and not to the Hamas movement. On Saturday, another Hamas official brought in 4.5 million Euros, and last month Hamas spokesman Sami Abu Zuhri brought in more than $800,000. The money ended up in the hands of the Hamas government. Fatah leader and PA chairman Mahmoud Abbas ordered the cash to be confiscated but it was later returned and ended up in the hands of the Hamas government.<\/em><\/strong><\/p><\/blockquote>\n
