The American Iraqi Parable Played Out by Israel in Lebanon Action…

An American Parable, by Samuel Freedman (Jerusalem Post)

“This parable applies, sadly, to Israel as well. Israel in the aftermath of the stalemate, if even that, against Hizbullah. Israel with Haim Ramon and Moshe Katsav in place of Tom Foley, Dennis Hastert and Jack Abramoff. But Israel, too, with all the architects of the summer’s unwon war still in place.”

“So let me just say, from this distant perch, and with all my Zionist ardor, that it appears curious and strange to see every leader in the summer’s war still ensconced in his position.” [...]  Click here to read more.

The new wind blowing out of Washington will easily cast him asunder. [...]  Click here to read more.

Consequences of Israel Gov’t. Abrogation of Responsibilities; US Offcial: “Israel Won’t Bomb Iran”

US Official: Israel Won’t Bomb Iran

“This is a much more difficult problem militarily than taking on Saddam Hussein’s [nuclear] program,” he said. In Iran there are as many as 200 sites that are part of their nuclear program, although some are more important than others, he noted. [...]  Click here to read more.
